The purpose of our newsletter is to keep you informed of the activities of the development committee, especially if you are unable to attend the meetings. Enjoy! Family Survey You should have received your family survey. We ask that you please take a few moments to fill it out. This survey will be used to help us determine which new fundraisers we will offer during the next school year. We are asking everyone to pick their top two choices for new fundraisers and the majority vote will rule. So every vote counts! You will receive 10 development points (that equals $10!) for returning the survey. If you have not received one, and are interested in filling it out, please let us know. The deadline to return the survey is Friday, May 7th. The new fundraisers will be determined at the Development Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 12th.
Golf Tournament There is still time to sign up for 13th Annual St. James School Golf Shootout! The golf tournament will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at the Foster Country Club in Foster, Rhode Island. Registration begins at 9:30 am and there will be a shotgun start at 10:00 am. The price per golfer is $100. This includes lunch & dinner, cash prizes and an unbelievable raffle! Also you can purchase a Memorial Recognition of a Relative or Friend. A donation of $50 or $100 purchases a Novena of Masses to be remembered every day in May, June, and July at St. James Church. The Mother/Son outing has been scheduled for Sunday, May 16th at the Pawtucket Red Sox game. Come and see Pawtucket take on the Syracuse Chiefs! Tickets are $17 per person and include ticket to the game, use of the party zone before the game, hot dog lunch with ice cream bar, picnic area to enjoy lunch, and a gift bag that includes a baseball! April 2010 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Announcements Fundraising Goals The development goals for this year reflect that we are 85% to our overall goal. We still have the Bowl-A-Thon and the Golf Tournament to go. Keep up the good work! 150 Club Dinner Thank you to everyone who helped out at the 150 Club Dinner either by working at the dinner or selling tickets. The dinner was a huge success raising over $15,000 which is a 155% increase from last year! Box Tops The Box Tops earned over $650 this year! Keep clipping those tops out and sending them in because even though we only turn them in twice a year, we collect them all year long! Scripts Don’t forget you can still order gift cards through the Scripts program! Need a present for Mother’s Day? Get mom a gift certificate to her favorite store. Or treat her to dinner with a gift card to her favorite restaurant! There are many possibilities. Even if you haven’t ordered before, it’s easy to start now.
